{"id":19339,"date":"2016-03-08T10:54:06","date_gmt":"2016-03-08T10:54:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wearelikeyou.org\/?p=19339"},"modified":"2016-04-05T10:48:10","modified_gmt":"2016-04-05T10:48:10","slug":"visiting-in-ghana-a-center-of-sisters-hospitallers-similar-to-the-saint-benedict-menni-of-monrovia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wearelikeyou.org\/en\/visiting-in-ghana-a-center-of-sisters-hospitallers-similar-to-the-saint-benedict-menni-of-monrovia\/","title":{"rendered":"Visiting in Ghana a center of Sisters Hospitallers similar to the Saint Benedict Menni of Monrovia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After his visit to Monrovia, Liberia, <a title=\"Catholic Relief Services give its support to \u201cWe Are Like You\u201d again funding the works of the Step-Down Unit\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wearelikeyou.org\/en\/catholic-relief-services-give-its-support-to-we-are-like-you-again-funding-the-works-of-the-step-down-unit\/\">to meet the representatives of Catholic Relief Services<\/a> (CRS), Mikel Tellaeche, Health Programs Director of Sisters Hospitallers\u00b4 English Province and director of Aita Menni Hospital in Arrasate-Mondragon (Spain), travelled to Ghana to see the facilities and organization of Sisters Hospitallers\u00b4 Health Center in Dompoase, which comprises a Health Center &#8211;similar in size and activity to <a title=\"Official reopening of the health center and opening of the symptom evaluation area and isolation zone\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wearelikeyou.org\/en\/official-reopening-of-the-health-center-and-opening-of-the-symptom-evaluation-area-and-isolation-zone\/\">the one that the Sisters own in Liberia<\/a>&#8212; and a Mental Rehabilitation Center, too.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Mental Rehabilitation Center works as a Day Care Center and gives care to 25 kids and youngsters, most of them with intellectual disability. There is some case of Down Syndrome and there are not clear cases of mental disease. There are educational programs, craftsmanship workshops, music and other activities. The Hospital is a center with 11,000 admissions and almost 100,000 outpatient consultations, with Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oftalmology, Paediatrics and Dentist.
