Among our objectives is not only to care for people with mental illness, but also to educate and raise awareness of this problem in a country where there is still too much ignorance about the reality of these illnesses and, consequently, a high degree of stigmatization of the people who suffer from them.<\/p>\n

For this reason, part of our team recently embarked on a 245 km. journey to the town of Voinjama, in the northwest of Liberia, where we were welcomed by the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary<\/a>. There, the Sisters develop educational and social projects, and thanks to them, more than a hundred men, women and children received information about mental illnesses, their causes, manifestations and ways to prevent them.<\/p>\n
