04 Mar 2025 Europamundo Foundation supports the Mental Health Project in Liberia

As part of its 2024 Call for Proposals, the Europamundo Foundation (FEM) has allocated €40,000 to the We Are Like You program, aimed at supporting women with mental illness and associated substance abuse. This program is being carried out in Monrovia by the Sisters Hospitallers Center, with the support of Ospitalarioak Fundazioa Euskadi (former Aita Menni), and includes the construction of a new building to care for women in situations of vulnerability.

The Europamundo Foundation is a private, non-profit organization with its own legal personality and full capacity to act. Created by Europa Mundo Vacaciones, its mission is to promote social action and development cooperation activities in vulnerable areas and populations both in Spain and abroad, with a special focus on Europe and Latin America, always fostering sustainable human development.

Among its goals is the promotion of coexistence and understanding among cultures, contributing to a more tolerant and diverse world. FEM also seeks to enhance the cultural heritage of humanity and to foster tourism awareness as a strategy for development, through an approach based on sustainable tourism.

To finance these initiatives, Europa Mundo Vacaciones allocates a percentage of its income to the Foundation, allowing it to support different NGOs in the development of their projects.

Since 2011, the Europamundo Foundation has been transforming lives and acting as a bridge of hope and social change. To date, it has supported over 196 projects in 34 countries, collaborated with 61 NGOs, carried out 56 emergency interventions, reached 317,467 direct beneficiaries, and allocated more than €2 million to social and cooperation programs.
